The Ducati Scrambler Café Racer has been launched in India

It has an air- and oil-cooled Euro 4-compliant 803cc L-twin engine that churns out 75 PS of peak power at 8250rpm and 67 Nm of torque at 5750rpm. Seat height, at 805mm, is 15mm more than the Icon’s, albeit still very reasonable for even modestly proportioned Indians. Although it shares a lot of parts and engine with the Scrambler, according to the Italian bike maker, it is a new model.New to the Café Racer are 17-inch wheels, Pirelli Diablo Rosso II tyres, clip-on handlebar, radially mounted front master cylinder, and suspension.To cap it all off, Ducati is also introducing a range of apparel and accessories for that authentic British café racer lifestyle look. While the frame, tank, headlight, instruments, brake rotors and callipers are borrowed from the Scrambler, the Termignoni exhaust has been borrowed from the Scrambler Full China Lock Cylinder Manufacturers Throttle. The last part has been beefed up with stiffer springs for sportier ride and handling. It is the second Ducati to join the Scrambler sub-brand this year after the Desert Sled, a variant that draws its inspiration from the iconic American off-road bikes of the ‘60s and ‘70s
