Two 20-year-old undertrials, who had been arrested on charges ranging from robbery, dacoity and to attempted murder, escaped from Kalyan’s Adharwadi jail by jumping over the prison walls with the help of a CCTV camera cable early on Sunday morning.The jail premises were immediately combed through to see if the two were hiding somewhere in the prison itself.30 am and proceeded to use it to scale a wall, raising questions about the prison’s security system and whether an insider had aided them. The police is likely to check if the two had any ‘inside help’.”Devendran was arrested from Kalyan under Section 397 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), which pertains to robbery, or dacoity, with an attempt to cause death or grievous hurt; while Nadar was arrested from Manpada audio cable types Suppliers in Palghar district under Section 307 of the IPC, which pertains to attempt to murder.
