A textile creator must first visualize the pattern that he or she wishes to create. Once they have thought of the pattern, colors and fabric type, it’s time to begin creating. The creator sketches his or her design idea onto a special type of graph paper called point paper. The point papers are designed to guide fabric weavers working on creating the textile by weaving the fabric out of yarn on a loom.
