Nearly 11 months after his arrest by the CBI, heavyweight Trinamul Congress minister Madan Mitra was granted bail by the Alipore court on Saturday in the multi-crore Saradha chit fund scam. The CBI is however planning to move the higher court against the order.CBI lawyer Ankush Sarkar reasoned since Mr Karan had been in the Raipur Court to appear as an witness after getting a notice in a separate case, the case diary could not be furnished at the court in his absence.
