This comes three days after the National Green Tribunal (NGT) observed that the plastic ban is not being implemented strictly in the city and directed the Delhi government to impose a fine of Rs 5,000 on those violating the ban order and also carry out raids on shops or vendors possessing such bags. “The environment department is reviewing the implementation of the NGT directions of August 10, 2017,” said a government statement.
