DC Motor protection methods and measures

1. Short-circuit protection When the insulation of motor windings and wires is damaged, control appliances and lines are damaged, and the line is short-circuited due to misoperation and touching the line, short circuit protection is used to quickly cut off the power supply with protective appliances. Commonly used short-circuit protection appliances are fuses and automatic air circuit breakers. Commonly used short-circuit protection components are fuses and circuit breakers. The melt of the fuse is connected in series in the protected circuit. When the circuit is short-circuited or seriously overloaded, it will automatically fuse, thereby cutting off the circuit and achieving the purpose of protection.

2. The protection device used for field weakening protection ensures that the Brushless DC Gear Motors Suppliers works under a certain strength of the magnetic field, does not cause the magnetic field to weaken or disappear, and avoid the rapid increase of the motor speed, or even the phenomenon of runaway. This kind of protection is field weakening protection.

3. Overload protection When the motor load is too large, the starting operation is frequent or the phase is missing, the working current of the motor will exceed its rated current for a long time, resulting in shortened or damaged motor life. When the motor is overloaded, the measure to cut off the power supply with a protective appliance is overload protection.

4. Loss of voltage protection When the production machinery is working, there is a sudden power failure due to some reason. When the power supply is restored, the protective electrical appliances must ensure that the production machinery can only operate after restarting, and will not cause personal and equipment accidents. This protection is Loss of pressure (zero pressure) protection. There are contactors and intermediate relays to realize the voltage loss (zero voltage) protection.
